Getting here
Air
Two airports in closest proximity to the house are Nice airport which is about an hour and a half's drive (depending on traffic) and Toulon, an hour’s drive away. Rental Cars are available to hire from both airports.
Nice Airport
There are several flights daily to Nice from the UK:

Toulon Airport
The airport is an hour’s drive from the house and is served by Ryanair from Stanstead and Bristol.
Marseille Airport
The airport is a two hour drive from the property and offers daily flights from several UK destinations.
Car
From Calais to the house is approximately 750 miles. It's a long journey but can be managed in a day. Allow approximately 15 hours including food and drink breaks for a comfortable drive. Macon and Lyon provide good midway resting points.
Train
The TGV stops at Saint-Raphael which is 14 miles away. There is a bus service from Saint-Raphael to Croix Valmer.
Climate
The region enjoys a pleasant all year round climate with an average of 300 days of sunshine per year with rain a rarity even in the winter months.
The season starts early, at Easter time when the local shops and restaurants begin their season.
Spring and Summer months are hot and sunny with temperatures often reaching 30 degrees during the summer.
Equally the end of the season September and October is a wonderful time to visit. Once the schools are back come and enjoy the late summer sun and the calm of the late summer. Many of the locals swim in the sea until at least the end of October.
